this band i ran sound for from 84-90(?). this is their first of three albums. i have a live tape somewhere, but it's either a main-mix board tape or a little walk-man like recording. aside from the overdubs this sounds much more like they did live, just imagine it even way better and you have it. this was one of the best times of my life. it's quite emotional, now that i'm an old softie, so i can't listen to this stuff very often at all. lots of stuff i listened to then i can't listen to now, i wish i could. there were several other early songs that they never recorded that i liked a lot, e.g., one called "Red Delilah" and one called "Target White." "WP Fibre" was the name we used to book hotel reservations, so we could get some privacy... until after the gig. 'Waxing Poetics' is the band, this record is, as i said, their first, 'Hermitage.'
